Our referral fees to lawyers
We offer a 50% referral fee to attorneys on most cases, which is higher than the industry standard. Why do we do this? Because we like new cases.
We want lawyers to refer cases. We can, and do, obtain higher values than a general practice attorney with very little or no experience as a trial lawyer. The value of a case is not just the facts of the case and
the resultant injuries. It's who you have as your lawyer .
Here is an example: a client came to us and said that another lawyer valued his case at $35,000.00 (Thirty five thousand dollars). Our firm took that case and rather than file in New
Jersey, which is where the New Jersey lawyer wanted to settle it for $ 35,000.00, we filed instead in Federal Court. The result: we obtained a settlement of $482,500.00 (Four hundred eighty two thousand five hundred dollars).
In fact, to date, we have never settled a case for under $ 100,000.00. We know of no other NY attorney or law firm who has that record of success.
So we want to hear from lawyers. If you have a client who may have a case, please call us on our dedicated 24 hour cell phone at
(917) 734-7111 and if it's after hours, please make sure you leave your name, type of case, and cell number for a quick call back, usually within hours of your call.
Who we are and why are we helping our clients?
Under NY law, once we take a NY medical malpractice case and ultimately obtain money on it, our firm takes a 30% fee on the first $ 250,000.00 we collect (See, Judiciary Law § 474-a) and 33% generally on other non-medical cases. We work hard for our money. We work 8 hours, and sleep 8 hours, and unlike others, it's not the same 8 hours.
After 50 years of combined legal experience, we've gotten quite good at getting money for our clients. And thanks to the 30% legal fee NY law allows, it's how we pay for the infrastructure we have which allows us to continue representing new clients and to front the costs of prosecuting these cases so that our clients can get the highest compensation they deserve. |
